Every year,
on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian
People on 29th November, we take the opportunity to
create awareness about the issues surrounding the Palestinian
deprivation and suffering, their continued struggle for a
homeland, and the current situation unfolding in West Bank and
Gaza.
Today, 61
years after the partition, the Palestinians of three generations
have been denied Right of Return. While some are still holding
on to the keys of their houses in Palestine/Israel in the hope
that they would be returning home one day, the Zionist regime
continues its illegal settlements and crimes against humanity in
the occupied territories. The 4.5 million Palestinian refugees
in numerous refugee camps in Lebanon and throughout the
Middle-East today are the product of the Zionist project to
establish the state of Israel in Palestine.
The Palestine Film Week will be
held from 2nd – 5th December. This
four-day event comprises film screenings, info booths and
discussions focusing on civil, political, economic, social and
cultural issues that impact the lives of the Palestinians. The
films have been selected specifically to highlight the
Palestinian struggle for justice and peace. |
