Kassem Aina, Director of the National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training or more popularly known as Beit Atfal as-Samoud (BAS) came for a short visit to MSRI from 6 -11 August 2007.  Though short, his visit was very productive in garnering support and financial aid for the refugees in Lebanon.  His insightful first-hand experience on the situation at Nahr el-Bared was instrumental in getting the urgent help needed to alleviate the mounting problem faced by the people and relief workers in Beddawi.   At the time, Nahr el-Bared Camp was still under siege.

During his visit, Kassim attend a few important meetings including with other Malaysian NGOs and with some of MSRI’s sponsors of Palestinian children.
