DYR Malaysia 2007 in cooperation with R.A. Fine Arts Gallery has organized an arts exhibition with paintings by a very talented Palestinian artist from Nahr el-Bared, and children’s paintings as well as photographs from there.  The exhibition will be held at the R.A. Fine Arts Gallery, No. 6, Jalan Aman, (off Jalan Tun Razak) 55000 Kuala Lumpur from 19 -24 November 2007.  It will be open for public viewing every day from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. 

DYR Malaysia Chairman, En. Hishamudin Ubaidulla from Ubaidi Foundation, and Raja Ahmad Aminullah, Director of R.A. Fine Arts Gallery, will hold a Press Conference on Wednesday, 14 November 2007 at 11.30 a.m, at the gallery.

The artist, Rouhaifa Qassim will be arriving in Kuala Lumpur on the 17th and will be here until 22 November, 2007.  Rouhaifa’s paintings on exhibition have all been created in the short time period from June to September 2007 and are an expression of art which is born under harshest conditions, the despair of dispossession and loss of the Palestinians, and the hope for a better life one day in their own homeland.

Yang Berhormat Dato’ Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Information Minister will be officiating the event on 20 November 2007 at 8.pm. 

In addition to Rouhaifa, twelve local artists, such as Dato’ Syed Ahmad Jamal, Dr. Zakaria Ali, Ahmad Fuad Osman, Tan Sei Hon, Patrik Lasak and Long Tien Shih to name a few, will also be participating.
