The Kuala Lumpur Film Fest and Art
Exhibition on Palestine
is a 3-day cultural event with films on Palestine and the presentation of
artworks by contemporary Malaysian artists in conjunction with the International
Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People which is held on 29th November
every year.
This year is the 60th year of “al-Nakba” or “the catastrophe”, a product of the
Zionist project to establish the state of Israel in Palestine which forced
hundreds of thousands of Palestinian people to evacuate their homeland. This
year too is the 40th year of the Occupation of the Palestinian territories, and
on 10th December we commemorate 60 years of the Proclamation of the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights.
This event is brought to the Malaysian public to show the solidarity of
Malaysian artists and the support for human rights in Palestine, and the Right
of Return for the refugees. No Peace Without Justice!
