Children of Shatila

 

Fifty years after the dispossession of their grandparents from Palestine, the children of Shatila camp struggle to come to terms with the realities of growing up in a refugee camp that has experienced massacre, siege and starvation. Through the eyes of Issa and Farah, the film explores the creative process which enables these children to survive the overwhelming difficulties of their everyday lives.

Frontiers of Dreams and Fears

 

From Shatila camp in Lebanon to Dheisha camp in Palestine, Frontiers of Dreams and Fears is the story of two Palestinian refugee girls and their extraordinary journey to the borders of exile separating them from their homeland and from each other.

Filmed during the massive Israeli attack on Lebanon in 2006, 33 Days chronicles the lives of four young people working in theatre, media and emergency relief. Through their creativity and commitment, the film tells untold stories that forever marked the lives of those who survived that fateful summer in Beirut.

Wildflowers:  Women of South Lebanon

 

A story of a woman, Khadijeh from South Lebanon who was imprisoned and tortured during the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon. Through Khadijah and the women in the surrounding villages, the film tells the story of the resistance of the women of south Lebanon.

Through the story of a young woman from Beirut and the turbulent experiences, dreams and disillusions of her young friends, the film explores the critical transformations and crucial questions facing Lebanon at this turning point in its history.
