Mai Masri, 45, a Palestinian film-maker, based in Beirut, Lebanon has studied film at UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University where she graduated with a BA degree in 1981.   The daughter of a Palestinian father from Nablus and an American mother from Texas, Mai Masri was raised in Beirut, where she has lived most of her life.
