Job title: Information Technology Officer

The Malaysian
Social Research Institute (MSRI), a non-governmental and non profit
organisation based in Kuala Lumpur, working on research on societal
issues and with a specific humanitarian programme in support of the
Palestinian people, is looking for an eligible candidate to fill the
position as Information Technology Officer. Commencing in early
January 2011.
Main Responsibilities
- -
Develop
and manage the MSRI website.

Develop
and manage the Intranet.

Scan
articles online in periodicals, documents and other print materials.
- Maintain
all databases, e.g. inventory, sponsorship programme database,
library databases.
- Enter
new resource centre materials into databases.
- Assist
in the planning of MSRI's IT needs, e.g. PC's, software.
- Maintain
MSRI's computers and other hardware.
- Assist
in managing any other programmes or projects undertaken by MSRI.
- and
carry out any other duties and tasks directed by the ED.
Required skills
- At
least 1 year of experience (preferably) in working on website and
computers.
- Good
in handling a website and computer hardware and software.

Excellent communication and writing skills in English / Bahasa
Malaysia.
Education
background
-
SPM or Diploma in IT or computer related fields.
- A relevant
combination of both academic and work
experience.
