During 2010 MSRI held the Common Good Lecture Series which consisted of four talks related to the Common Good: Past, Present and Future, Common Good and the Environment, Common Good and Education, and Common Good and Religion. This year MSRI is holding the Lunch and Learn Series which will consist on 10 talks on different topics related to Conflict around Us, Human Rights, Women in Malaysia, and Democracy.
The Lunch and Learn series will provide a space for learning and sharing ideas and experiences among a small number of participants in a relaxed and friendly environment which will promote useful discussion about topics that are important for the Malaysian Society.
The talks will be held at MSRI`s office and it will have a maximum of 20 participants from different backgrounds and fields. Every event will have a speaker who has experience in the field and will be able to share her/his experiences, thoughts, and feelings about the specific topic.
MSRI has created these spaces of learning and discussion as an effort to continue with the organizations goal of promoting research and understanding about social problems affecting the most deprived and disadvantaged segments of the population.
