About the programme
The Adopt a Family programme matches impoverished refugee’s families living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with individual or group sponsors to provide the family with regular support; the package includes Food, Cleaning Items, and Personal Care Items. Alternatively, you can chose to support any other specific need of a family.
This support will be more than welcome among the refugees who are in dire need of support as refugees in Malaysia are unable to work legally and have a very difficult time making ends meet. This is especially true for families with small children and those who are facing health problems.
Adopting a family is easy; MSRI has prepared a list with the description of the families who are in need of support. The sponsor can select the family who he/she wishes to support and MSRI will ensure that the items donated are given to the chosen family. Alternatively, if you do not wish to select a specific family, MSRI will ensure that your support goes to those families in more need.
Sponsors can be individuals, families, small businesses or large corporations. Sponsoring a family is rewarding as you know you are making a huge difference in the lives of a whole family. Families will not only benefit from the donations but from easing their minds knowing that there will be food on their tables.
